What happens if, by the end of this school year, I don’t want to go back to Simi Valley? I don’t want to sound cynical, but the truth is, I’m going to be in San Jose for the rest of the school year, and I’ll no doubt get used to it. Maybe I won’t miss Simi Valley anymore. What will happen to all my friendships in SoCal?
I’ve settled in to the point of not being awkward around people, but I don’t have the same ‘connections’ that I had last year. I see my friends in Silver Creek as fellow students, but I can’t relate to them. sigh
